How does the culture of the country show/manifest in your topic?

The culture of the country is widely associated with my topic, Peruvian sports. The sports bring in all different social classes and ethnicities. In Peru soccer is the national sport, and basically everyone takes part in the activities involving soccer. Another popular sport in Peru is Taekwondo. Taekwondo was first introduced to Peru by John Polar. The first Peruvian taekwondo clubs were founded in Arequipa.  Women's volleyball is another rather popular sport in Peru. A third very important sport in Peru is tennis. Luis Horna and Jaime Yzaga are the most popular tennis players from Peru. Although this sport is not quite as popular as the other sports in Peru, their tennis league does generally well. One last important sport that all people can take part in is sailing. Peru is the only country in the has won the Central, South American, and Caribbean Championships for six years in Sunfish class. These are the few examples if how the culture of Peru shows manifest in my topic.

The flag of Peru was adopted by the government of Peru in 1825. It is a vertical triband with red outer bands and a single white middle band. Depending on its use, it may be defaced with different emblems, and has different names. Flag Day in Peru is celebrated on June 7, the anniversary of the Battle of Africa. The Peruvian flag contains three stripes of equal width running from top to bottom, one white and two red.

 What is the Peruvian culture?

Peruvian culture is made up of literature, the lifestyle of Peru, and a collection of diverse art forms. Peru is known to be the heart of the Inca, and Peruvian art traditions can be traced back to Pre-Inca cultures. The construction of the the Machu Picchu illustrates the architectural achievements made by the Incas. Peruvian literature originally originated from the oral traditions of pre-Columbian civilizations. Marinera is known as the "National Dance of Peru." There are also some dances in Peru that are associated with agricultural work, hunting, and war. Ancient Peruvian instruments were made out of a wide variety of materials like conch shells, metals, mud, and horns. Peru celebrates about 3,000 festivals a year, and most of the festivals are related to Christian religion. A wide variety of foods are eaten in Peru, and the main ingredient of their food is maize, tomatoes, and potatoes. A typical Peruvian dish was "ceviche," or fish marinated in citrus juice. The modern culture of Peru is combined with a blend modern culture and a dash of ancient culture.

What is unique about Peruvian sports compared to the US?
   Megan Shulse
The United States of America invented a lot of sports which are practiced worldwide. Peru didn't invent any particular sport;but there is one sport that connects the United States and Peru together, known as soccer. British merchant sailors brought soccer to Peru many years ago. For many years soccer was only played by the upper socials classes in their clubs, but then soccer began to spread among all the social classes many years later, but when soccer spread among social classes it became extremely popular, and a passion for Peruvians. Although soccer is so popular is Peru, its national team has not reached a level to compete successfully in the soccer World Cup in the last 25 years. According to an article, Peru does indeed have good soccer players, but lacks the prior resources such as fields and sport facilities. Soccer has not been played in the United States for too long, but the USA National Team for soccer has been in the World Cup more times then Peru. The Northern American Soccer League was founded in late 2009 after multiple teams broke away from the United Soccer Leagues. Soccer was first brought to America by European immigrants in the 1900s, and in the 1900s competitions and leagues were being developed in America. The first two decades of the 19th century were a very fertile time for soccer Peru's National Football team was founded in 1927 and most of the football's team games are played in Lima, Peru. Peruvian soccer and American soccer are very similar, but they have their differences, which make both nation's sports unique and diverse.
